Crowdfunding Piwik 2.0

Piwik is a Free Software Web analytics application. If you run a website, it is what you use when you do not want to use Google Analytics or any other third party solution.

With Piwik, you download and install it on your own server, which means that you have complete control of the application. The stable edition is at version 1.9.2. Development of the next major version, Piwik 2.0, has already started.

To speed up its development, the Piwik team started a crowdfunding drive. Crowdfunding gives you, the end-user, an opportunity to help the development of your favorite application financially.A feature that has been added for crowdfunding is Flash-free maps, which use SVG, JavaScript and HTML5 to display visitor maps. The image below shows an example of a Flash-free map.
