Finalterm, a terminal emulator that’s being developed by Philipp Emanuel Weidmann, a mathematician and Linux Software Engineer from Heidelberg, Germany, has been updated.
The first public development version of Finalterm was released a few months ago, but was slow and lacked features that are standard on existing terminal emulators. With this latest code update, I think it’s almost ready for prime time. (See FinalTerm: A terminal emulator to rule them all.)
The most important features it now has are support for tabs and split screens – horizontal and vertical. This GIF image shows how those features work.
