Google’s New Year’s present to owners and potential owners of Chromebooks is the announcement of a new pair of Chromebooks from Samsung. These are the Samsung Chromebook Pro and the Samsung Chromebook Plus.

What Google hopes will make the ultra-thin Chromebooks stand out and be well-received by consumers is because they’re the first built from the ground up to run millions of Android apps from Google Play store.

The Samsung Chromebook Pro will hit stores in April (2017) and will be powered by an Intel® Core™m3 processor. Like the Samsung Chromebook Plus, it will have a touch screen and a pen. The Samsung Chromebook Plus will sport an ARM processor. It’s set to hit stores in early February, but it’s already available for pre-order at BestBuy. The model on display at BestBuy’s online store has a 12.3 screen, 4 GB RAM and a 32 GB eMMC storage. The price tag is $449.00.

Here’ are a few screenshots of the Samsung Chromebook Plus. The Samsung Chromebook Pro will likely feature a wider screen display when it launches. You may read Google’s announcement of these devices here.
