That's another way to doing it. I just chose to show how it's done from the command line.

Why not open System Settings > Service Manager.

While I'm still working on a review of Pardus 2009.1, here's a short tip on how to enable the OpenSSH server on this distro. Keep in mind that OpenSSH server is already installed. What we are going to do in enable it. And we are going to do it from a shell terminal.

From a shell terminal, and as root, type service openssh start. This will start the service. Want to have OpenSSH server started whenever you reboot? Type service openssh on.

That's it.

By the way, Pardus has a cool, but light-featured graphical firewall manager.
