How to restore Winodws 7 MBR and remove grub 2
SSY on Aug 05, 2012
You can use ms-sys (http://ms-sys.sourceforge.net/, guide to use: http://www.thecoderanger.com/rewrite-a-windows-hard-disk-mbr-with-an-ubuntu-9-04-live-cd/)
Just note that there you must write the correct version of the MBR as your OS. The appropriate parameters can be seen in the ms-sys download page. I’ve used it before to restore my MBR, and it worked fine

This is assuming that you dual-booted Win 7 and a Linux distribution, with GRUB installed in the MBR.
The easiest way I know to restore Win 7 boot files in the MBR, is to use Neosmart’s EasyBCD, a free application.
You may download it from http://neosmart.net/EasyBCD/.
Scroll all the way down on that page to see the free download link.
