error installing boot loader; dual boot fedora 15 and ubuntu 10.04

Asked by: 520 views Disk Partition, Dual-booting, Fedora, Ubuntu

Thanks for the great tutorials and very informitive web site.

I currently have windows 8, opensuse eleven.4, fedora fifteen, ubuntu ten.04. (one key broken and can’t paste)

I started with just fedora fifteen and ubuntu eleven.04. I had the same errors either way. Here’s some screen shots. As you will see the problem begins with the instal of the grub2 boot loader.

All operating systems are working properly. Ununtu is generating random udev errors at boot. The errors often indicate partitions that do not belong to ubuntu. I have no errors from fedora or opensuse. Also, once booted ubuntu seems to be working fine. I have found a similar bug report. This is intended to be a fyi and to see if further action is neccesary. Sorry about the last shot I forgot to rotate.

Thanks in advance,

Mike
