Dual boot finds only one operating system

Asked by: 673 views Chakra Linux, Linux Mint

I just installed Chakra Linux next to Linux Mint and Windows 7. Upon booting, the Chakra bootloader finds only the Windows and Chakra operating systems and does not provide an option to boot into Mint. Any suggestions?

Assuming you did not wipe the Mint partitions when you were creating Chakra partitions, start the disk utility while in Chakra to make sure that the Mint partitions are still intact.

If they are, you may have to reload GRUB to see if it will pick up Mint, or manually edit GRUB to add Mint.

I do not have a Chakra installation running, but I think there is a graphical tool in Chakra that you can use to edit GRUB.
