Fedora

Looking at the file system options in Anaconda on Fedora 16 Alpha, I see an entry for “bios boot.” What type of file system is it?

“Bios boot” is not exactly a file system, but a flag assigned to a small partition that signals that GPT partition table is in use.

You’ll see it in Fedora 16 by default if it is the only distribution or operating system installed on a disk.
