Memory Requirements for Fedora Installation
We know that Linux can be installed on just about any hardware, no matter how old. However, with some of the distributions, the memory requirements of just the installer means you cannot install it on some hardware, especially if they don’t have a lot of RAM.
Take Fedora, for instance. The installer, Anaconda, will not run on just about any machine. On one of my very old machines with 512 MB of RAM, the installer will not run as the message in the image below indicates.
