Hardware requirments for Ubuntu 11.04 Unity 3D desktop

Been attempting to test Ubuntu 11.04 on a laptop, but it keeps falling back to a scaled down desktop, without indicating what exactly is required for the laptop to run the full Unity 3D desktop. what will be the requirements? Is it the same as for GNOME 3?

    If your laptop can run GNOME 3, it can run Unity 3D. See official Unity 3D hardware specs at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DemystifyingUnityGraphicsHardwareRequirements
