I am using Linux Mint 11 on one of my computers, and I must say that I find the overlay scrollbar annoying. Is it possible to disable it or are am I stuck with it?

In Linux Mint 11 LXDE, released about a week ago, overlay-scrollbar is not installed, so you only need to uninnstall liboverlay-scrollbar, reboot, and you regain the traditional scrollbar.

There are two packages you can install to try and get rid of those overlay scrollbars, and they are overlay-scrollbar and liboverlay-scrollbar

However, removing them only seems to rid the system of overlay scrollbar in some application’s windows, but not in others. For example, the file manager still displays the overlay scrollbars, even after they have been uninstalled. The software Manager will revert to the classic scrollbars though.
