What are the recommended disk partitions for installing Ubuntu or Fedora? Computer is a laptop.

    The default on Ubuntu is two – / and Swap. On Fedora, the default is three – /boot, /, and Swap.

    My recommendation is to always create one for /home, so you should have four – /boot, /, Swap, and /home
