how to reset HD to original settings?

i just move recently to ubuntu and i made a partition with Win7. finally i like more Ubuntu, so I delete win 7. know i have my HD with two partitions and i wanted to have my disk back to a single whole space without partitions to install ubuntu as only OS in laptop... How can i do that?...i try to boot from a CD, but nothing happen>....thanks in advance!

    And I agree with the above suggestion. If the Win7 partitions are before the Ubuntu partitions on the HD, you can’t just reset it. Reinstall.

    If you installed Ubuntu alongside Win7 in dual-boot fashion, on an existing installation of Win7, then deleted Win7, I do not see how you can “reset” the HD without first reinstalling Ubuntu.

    And that’s what I think you need to do. Reinstall Ubuntu. The installer will create the partitions needed automatically, wiping the old Win7 partitions in the process.
