    @SgtTraveler:

    If you can install it in a virtual environment, then I think you can install it on real hardware. Has anybody tried doing this yet?

    http://www.android-x86.org/download

    You can try to download the Android OS from there, although it is targeted on people who develops Android apps.

    I don’t know how you dual-boot a Windows 7 and Android OS, but you can try to install Android OS in a Virtual Machine.

    There is actually some people who make Android OSes, I did a little research and found this:

    Although it is more for developing applications, you might want to check out the site and download the latest stable release from there.

    I don’t know how you dual OS’d it with Windows 7 but you can try to install it via Virtual Machines.

    It is getting increasingly doubtful that Google will ever make Android ISO image for free download like other Linux distributions. I will be very, very, very surprised.

    Android is not a Linux distro you can download. The only way to get Android is to buy a tablet pre-loaded with it, or to buy an Android smartphone. You can get the source code if you know how to tinker with code.
