The openSUSE team has announced the availability of the first release candidate of openSUSE 11. As with all Release Candidates, this comes with its set of bugs that must be fixed before the final version is released.
In addition to a host of usability and package improvements, openSUSE 11 will ship with KDE 4 and “a new installer which makes the installation quicker and nicer”. The snapshot review of openSUSE on this site is based on the last stable version - openSUSE 10.3. That page will be updated when the next stable version - openSUSE 11 - is released on June 19, 2008.
