IPCop is a complete Linux distribution designed for protecting home and SOHO (Small Office Home Office) networks. It is completely free and Open Source, and easily extendable with addons.

Comments: IPCop is intended to be installed to disk (on standard PCs and embedded devices). Installation is via a ncurses-based interface, and management and configuration is via a browser-based interface. The following are some of the services provided by IPCop:

- Stateful firewall
- IDS on internal and external interfaces, with support for Sourcefire VRT Certified rules
